trust & transparency

Editorial policy

These standards govern original research and guides published on techjobsremote.org. Last substantively reviewed September 4, 2026.

Authorship and accountability

Research is published by the TechJobsRemote Research Desk, the editorial function responsible for this site's data analysis and candidate guides. We do not invent individual bylines or credentials. When a named contributor or expert reviewer participates, their role and relevant background will be disclosed on the article.

Primary sources

Job facts originate from employers' public Greenhouse, Lever, or Ashby career boards. External factual claims in editorial articles should link to the responsible government body, platform documentation, employer record, or original research wherever practical.

Automation and AI

Automation collects and normalizes public job records and can assist with calculations. AI tools may assist drafting or editing, but they are not treated as sources. Methodology, interpretation, limitations, and material factual claims are reviewed before publication, and substantial automation is disclosed where a reader would reasonably expect it.

Corrections and updates

Material corrections are made promptly and an article's updated date changes only when its substance changes. Job-source corrections are checked against the employer record. Send the page URL, disputed passage, and supporting source to hello@techjobsremote.org.

Independence and advertising

Employers do not pay to enter the crawled index or receive favorable research coverage. Advertising and sponsorship, if present, are kept distinct from editorial conclusions. Commercial relationships do not change the data methodology.

Limitations

The database represents advertised openings from a defined company registry, not the entire labor market or accepted job offers. Source systems can be incomplete or change between refreshes. Every quantitative report states its sample, measure, exclusions, and snapshot date.
